In school
Consider about my poor English, maybe I should try to write more article, I think writing really makes me think a lot, especially in English~maybe I should deliberate less about spelling, grammar or the structure of sentence, and enjoy more in typing what emerged from my brain.
OK~
but what a problem is that when I "switch" my train of though into English mode, everything become difficult, I can't make a problem simple, even it's already a simple one...and what worse is that usually when I need to discuss in English is talking about the problem which is very abstract, I need a lot adjectives but I can't find anyone matched.
I feel this deeply every time after the presentation, the other group mates or the teacher ask questions about the concept, we need very precise words to express but I can't. That's awful.
well, something besides English, people here are really different from Taiwan, I didn't mean the appearance, it's the atmosphere of study, in TU Delft we can find people are more satisfied about their study, people trust the school, the vision of future is clear and various, maybe because the course itself is also clear on what it want to deliver, this doesn't mean that the course is stock and boring, just like what I told my school junior yesterday, the feedback from the students is very important to the teachers in TU Delft, they adjust the content every semester and there are many new courses born every semester, even with the same name and teacher of one course, it's different from year to year, the experience from the seniors is still important but not 100% useful, I think this make me feel more like it's a design faculty, we still have many classic things in education, but what more important is to catch the trend. Meanwhile, another big different is the corporate with companies outside school, it's very common in IO faculty, every student do their graduate project with a company, by this they learned practical experience and know what's they have learned and able to do till now, maybe it's unpleasant to say this but I think this is impossible in Taiwan, because the design industrial has not developed in my country, most companies still focus on manufacturing, and the design apartment is more about technical, or we can say it's kind of engineering, and what's strange is that my school is more famous in engineering, but student doesn't want to do that, ironic~huh? Maybe it's because we are just a compact apartment with just few teachers(and not every teacher come with great vision), that's always a problem because if we have more teacher then they can deliver versatile courses, from something very technical to very conceptual, maybe the conceptual part doesn't match the situation in Taiwan but it's a chance to make different, when more and more companies transformed into research and develop type, these people who educated in conceptual design course can start doing something that really away from manufacture, and this is unable to reproduce, meanwhile, this is the competitiveness that will last longer. Another problem about the teacher is that they want to teach something they know or they want to go with students with the things they don't know ? The former is just like we've done in high school, and the later is the way to make a design faculty outstanding, if the teacher always stay in the level they been, that will become the limit of the student, because they will restricted their field of vision in school (and the teacher), this might affect more in my school.
It's true I am kind of jealous of the working environment in Europe(West and North, also in Spain and Italy...), but I know that someday I will dedicate what I learned in Taiwan, that is the final place I want to work in, but before that I think it's benefitable to have some experience from those well experienced countries.
oh~I found it's really hard to write something in English, I feel deeply that Chinese is so lovely now, but English still inevitable...
and people here are amazing with language, they can easily expert in three to five language, that's so far from me.
and now I need go to do a user test, hope we can done it smoothly~and on time.
OK~
